E

E has a keen interest in gardening, and eventually would like an allotment space, to grow a variety of vegetables such as carrots, runner beans and potatoes.  E loves connecting with nature and sustainability is very important to him.

E really enjoys playing a game of Monopoly, not only as is it fun to play but also as there is an element to the game where he has to apply critical thinking and negotiation skills, which he recognises as transferable skills both personally and professionally.

E is currently in higher education where he is working towards a career as a Drug & Alcohol worker.  He is hoping that his own experiences with substance use will help him support individuals that are going through similar challenges.

When asked about joining YAS E says that: ‘A highlight for me whilst I have been with the YAS is receiving the GAVO award from the High Sheriff on behalf of the group. This was in recognition of the contributions and work YAS have achieved so far.   I also enjoyed being part of the Youth Question Time session.
My interactions with both YAS members and Gwent N-gage staff have been positive. They are approachable, creating an environment where honesty is encouraged’.
