Recovery Walk 2025
Members of staff from Gwent N-Gage & GDAFS, along with service users, joined the wider Barod team for the annual Pen-Y-Fan recovery walk, as part of the National Recovery Walk

Gwent N-gage were recently involved in Barod’s popular ‘Manifesto Webinar Series’. Service Manager Hannah, alongside one of our wonderful volunteers, highlighted the importance of young people being actively involved in service design and delivery.
Christmas Well-being Activity
Gwent Ngage held a Christmas event at our offices on Lower Dock Street, Newport. Five young people attended, including two from activities and three from transitions, along with our volunteer Rin.

Team Time Out
The N-gage and GDAFS team took some much-needed time out for a wellbeing day at Barry Island Beach and engaged in beach yoga, games, walks, sea dips and a lunch of chips and ice-cream.

Mike Parry Art Award 2025 Entries
Young people and adults from N-gage and GDAFS have taken part in this year’s Mike Parry Art Award Competition, created in memory of Mike Parry — a support worker for Barod and artist who inspired many through his passion and creativity.
Easter Geocaching Adventure with Gwent N-gage and GDAFS
Over the Easter break, Gwent N-gage and GDAFS teamed up to host a fun-filled Geocaching activity for young people from both strands.
School Toolkit
Gwent N-gage and GDAFS are pleased to announce the School Toolkit, currently being piloted in several schools across Gwent in preparation for its full rollout in April 2025 to a wide range of educational establishments.
